Packing for a Skiing Holiday?

When dressing for a colder climate is not a frequent activity, it can be hard to remember everything to pack for a ski holiday. A holidayv is a time to take a spread of attire to look great and feel great, but unlike most holidays, when we pack for a ski holiday we have much more to take. There are plenty of variables to think about; we want to plan for our days on the slopes, but also the after-ski clothing, and evening wear. As you pack for your ski holiday, first pack your ski gear. You’ll need masses of layered clothing for staying warm and for losing after you warm up.

For only gear, include thermal underclothes, thin turtleneck shirts, and thin moisture-wicking socks. Over this you may possibly need a fleece or a sweater, water-repellent pants, and another, thicker pair of moisture-wicking socks, eg smart wool. You’ll also need the outer-essentials for your ski holiday, eg a hat, gloves, muffler or neck wrap, sun shades or spectacles, and naturally, a warm ski parka. Layers are important as the temperature frequently fluctuates during the day, and our bodies warm up and cool down as we alternate skiing and riding on the lifts.

If you have your own ski gear, do not forget to pack the boots, skis and poles ; if not, you can always lease them on site. Do not forget to bring nibbles and lots of suntan lotion.

Sometimes the better part of a ski holiday is what occurs after we ski. After-ski clothing will include a cosy pair of boots and a change of pants. In this, you’ll be comfy enough to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa in the ski lodge, peruse the shops in the town, or do some sightseeing.

When packing for your ski holiday, remember, too much is better than not enough. Enjoy planning for your days on the slopes, your nights in the clubs, and have an excellent time!
